Jess Klassen is a Winnipeg-based fibre artist creating textile works through sewing, tufting, and weaving. Jess blends form and function, colour and texture to create three dimensional work that happily teeters on the line between craft and art. Jess' work evolves from a focus on process and collaboration, the gendered histories of craft, and the relationship between craft and social and political contexts.
